South Beach Harbor Update
to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Mayor issued a Shelter in Place order. Non-essential gatherings are restricted to improve our ability to reduce COVID-19 transmissions, and mitigate the impacts on our community. The Port has strongly encouraged employees to work from home and remain off-site.
South Beach Harbor has Maintenance and Security Staff on-site to handle emergencies. Maintenance can be contacted from 8:30 to 5:00 pm at (415) 495.4911, so please leave a message at ext. 1111. After-Hours Security can be reached at (415) 608-1951, from 5:00 pm to 8:30 am. The scheduled deep cleaning is ongoing with United Service Company Janitorial Service and Harbor Maintenance Staff. We are relaxing the parking rules during this time of crisis, so no one will be towed or ticked if you forgot your parking hang tag.
The Harbor Office will not be open because we are telecommuting. However, if you have an accounting issue that needs immediate attention, please text Linda Green, Office Manager at (415)-802.9120.
The City’s Emergency Operations Center has been activated, and we are confident in our local experts regarding the extraordinary measures to improve the city's long-term outcomes to ultimately save lives. We will provide updates regarding progress as it is provided by the authorities and the Port of San Francisco.
Please try to remain calm and informed. Protect yourself and your loved ones by washing your hands for at least 20 seconds and limiting social interactions. Take heed the advice from public health experts. We want to limit the spread of the virus so everyone can recover from this public health emergency.
Until further notice, let's continue to work together to be a part of the solution.
Joe Monroe, Harbormaster
