The Port’s offices are located at Pier 1. There are two public entrances: the main entrance on The Embarcadero at Washington Street and the Port History walk entrance on the south apron of Pier 1. Each entrance has an automatically operated door. Accessible public restrooms, drinking fountains, and TTY are on the first floor near the main entrance.
Port Commission Hearing Room
The Port Commission's Hearing Room is located on the second floor of the Ferry Building. There is an elevator to the left of the staircase at the center of the building's Embarcadero facade. Accessible public restrooms and drinking fountains are located on the second floor and in the marketplace on the first floor.
Accessible seating areas and assistive listening devices are available in the Port Commission Hearing Room and Pier 1's Bayside Conference rooms.
The closest accessible BART and Muni Metro station is Embarcadero Station located at Market & Spear streets. For current information about accessible Muni lines and accessible services, visit Muni Services for Older Adults and People with Disabilities.
The nearest accessible parking is available in the following locations:
- On-street metered parking is available on The Embarcadero and surrounding streets. Per state regulations, persons with state approved disability license plate or placards may park at metered spaces for no cost.
- There is a surface pay parking lot on The Embarcadero and Washington Street. Hourly and valet parking is available at the Pier 3 parking lot. Covered accessible off-street pay parking is available at the Golden Gateway Garage at Clay and Front streets. High-top van parking is not available here.
The Port of San Francisco conducts accessible public meetings. If you need special assistance to participate, please contact the Port’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator, Melanie Kung (call 415.629.4461 or email melanie.kung@sfport.com). Please notify the Port at least two full business days prior to the meeting to enable the Port to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Port’s policy for people with chemical sensitivities, please refrain from wearing strongly scented products to events.
Accessibility Grievance or Complaint
Should you or a companion seek to cite a grievance or complaint on program access or facilities within the Port's jurisdiction, please contact the Port’s ADA Coordinator (call 415.629.4461 or email melanie.kung@sfport.com). The Port follows the City and County of San Francisco's grievance procedures. If the subject of the grievance is outside the Port's jurisdiction, we will forward the complaint to the appropriate authority or to the City of San Francisco's Mayor's Office on Disability, or both.

Language Access
The Port of San Francisco may provide free language assistance to individuals upon request. The Port is committed to ensuring that persons with limited English proficiency are given equal access to the Port’s services, programs, public land and facilities.
Port Commission Meetings
In accordance with the Language Access Ordinance, Commission meeting notices, agendas, and minutes will be translated upon written request. Translation timelines may vary depending on the complexity of the items requested for translation. Requesting parties will be informed of an approximate timeline for the completion of translation services.

All language-related complaints should be directed to the Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA).
