Port Commission

The Port Commission is responsible for the seven and one-half miles of waterfront adjacent to San Francisco Bay, which the Port develops, markets, leases, administers, manages and maintains.

The Port’s operating portfolio is composed of ground, commercial, retail, office, industrial and maritime industrial leases, including many internationally recognized landmarks. The Commission is a five-member board appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Supervisors. Commissioners are appointed to a four-year term.

Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month, plus the fourth Tuesday in February and April. Closed sessions begin at 2 pm. Open session begins at 3:15 pm unless otherwise noted.

Meetings are in person at the Port Commission Hearing Room in the Ferry Building, Second Floor. Anyone may attend the meeting and provide public comment. Instructions for providing public comment remotely are available on the meeting agendas.
