PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed project includes three major components:

  • a new permanent theater to serve as the permanent home for Teatro ZinZanni and its historic “Spiegeltent”
  • a boutique hotel with approximately 192 rooms with ancillary retail/commercial spaces
  • an approximately 14,000 square foot privately financed park at the northern end of the Site

  • May 5, 2015 – SF Board of Supervisors Resolution exempting from the competitive bidding policy

Port Commission and Board of Supervisors 

  • September 8, 2015 - Port Commission granted authorization to enter into Exclusive Negotiation Agreement
  • April 26, 2016 - Port Commission endorsed the Term Sheet
  • July 12, 2016 - Board of Supervisors endorsed the Term Sheet, Clerk of the Board File No. 160541
  • Sept. 10, 2019 - Port Commission approved the proposed lease.
