Public Art Program

“Public Art” at the Port refers to original works of physical or visual art in any artistic medium, permanent or temporary, whether owned by a public agency or by a private entity. Through public art, the Port informs and celebrates its history, inspires discussion, delights residents and visitors, and strengthens its identity along the waterfront. Public Art is intended to enhance the use and enjoyment of its location and the waterfront.

Through the Public Art Program the Port seeks to administer a transparent and inclusive process that involves diverse populations to make the Port a more meaningful place.
