    1. Welcome
    • Skipped self-introductions by all present.

    2. Maritime Update (Brendan O’Meara)
    • The NO SAIL ORDER remains in effect voluntarily by Cruise Lines International Association.
    • The CDC will issue new preliminary guidelines to begin cruising in the future.
    • Pier 80 will hit over 100k autos for the second calendar year in a row.
    • The Jeremiah O’Brien historic vessel will make its way back home to Pier 45 as salvage and cleanup has been completed.  It has been laid up at Pier 35N due to the fire in May 2020.
    • The Klamath, a historic ferry, is proposing to dock at Pier 9.  It will have public access to the apron and be available for ship tours.  We will ask for a letter of support from the MCAC.

    3. Crane Cove Park Update (Jennifer Gee)
    • Crane Cove Park is a 7-acre bay front park located in the Southern Waterfront.
    • The design team preserved many of the historic maritime resources from Pier 70, including two historic cranes, the last remaining ship building slipway, and artifacts displayed throughout the park that highlight the history of Pier 70.
    • The park features 2 acres of multi-purpose lawn with picnic and barbeque areas.
    • The park will also be able to accommodate special events.
    • There is a small pocket beach for sport water recreation.
    • There are pedestrian and bicycle access pathways.
    • There is a garden area which also treats storm water.
    • The park officially opened on September 30, 2020.
    • A request for proposal (RFP) will be out next year to rehabilitate two historic structures (the Kneass Building and Building 49) located in the Pier 70 area.

    4. Pier 68 Shipyard Update (Gerry Roybal)
    • The Port acquired the property back in 1982 from Bethlehem Steel.  This purchase included a fully functioning commercial ship repair yard with two drydocks and cranes.  Since 1982, the Port hired terminal operators to successfully run the shipyard.
    • The last operator was Puglia Engineering.  They ran the shipyard for approximately 3 months and shortly after, filed for bankruptcy, and abandoned the yard.
    • Please see the informational presentation on the current status and future repurposing on Pier 70 shipyard:  https://sfport.com/media/6492/download

    5. Port Resilience (Brad Benson)
    • The Waterfront Resilience Program is a Port-wide program.  The program will take actions to reduce seismic and climate change risks that support a safe, equitable, sustainable, and vibrant waterfront.
    • For an overview of the Port Resilience Program, please see the presentation:

    6. Other; Old and New Business; General Discussion; Agenda Topics for Future Meetings
    • Dominic has requested to regain back 60-100 feet of apron at Pier 30/32 for lay berthing opportunities from the Department of Public Health, which has been turned into a testing
    site for COVID-19.
