Location: Cargo Way and Jennings St Map

Heron’s Head Park is a 22-acre open space in the Bayview neighborhood. The name of the park comes from its shape - seen from above, the park looks like the head of a Great Blue Heron. Much of the park is a thriving wildlife habitat and attracts more than one hundred bird species.

Heron Head’s Park is part of the San Francisco Bay Trail. The trail extends across the park and crosses the Blue Greenway trail, Nature Play Area, and the EcoCenter.
