The Port welcomes hundreds of thousands of passengers every year to the Bay Area. Cruises from the Port sail along California Coast and to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and beyond.
About Pier 27
The Pier 27 James R. Herman Cruise Terminal opened in 2014. Ships can plug into the Port’s 12-megawatt shore power system to receive the cleanest source of power. The terminal is available as an event space during non-cruise days. Contact MetroEvents for event information.

Cruise Lines
San Francisco is the homeport for Princess Cruises and Carnival Cruises. The Port does not manage cruise reservations. Cruises must be booked directly with individual lines.
Passenger Information
Pier 27 is located on the northern waterfront of The Embarcadero. The terminal is accessible by transit, on foot or vehicle. The terminal is approximately 20 minute walk from the Embarcadero BART/Muni station. The nearest public transit is the F Historic streetcar (The Embarcadero/Sansome stop). Taxis and vehicles can drop off cruise passengers at the terminal hall entrance.
Pier 35 is located on the northern waterfront of The Embarcadero, about a 6-8 minute walk north from Pier 27. The nearest public transit is the F Historic streetcar (The Embarcadero/Bay stop).
Piers 30/32 is less than one mile away from the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero, between Bryant and Brannan streets. It is accessible by vehicle, on foot, or Muni light rail (The Embarcadero/Brannan stop). Walking from the Ferry Building, it is about a 20 minute walk to the pier.
Temporary or overnight parking is not provided at the cruise terminals.
