Assistant to the Director and Commission Manager

Carl Nicita is Assistant to the Director and Commission Affairs Manager. In this role, he is responsible for the operations of the Port’s executive office and serves as liaison between the Port Commission and Port staff, the public, government officials, and public and private agencies.
Prior to joining the Port, Carl was Scheduling Director for Mayor Ed Lee and Assistant to the Mayor’s Chief of Staff.
A rural California native, Carl moved to San Francisco for college and it has been his home ever since. Carl has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University.
