Youth Employment RFP

The Port of San Francisco is seeking qualified consultants to establish a program (“Program”) to provide skills training and employment experience for economically disadvantaged San Francisco youth and young adults to help them obtain gainful employment and/or promotions at their current employment. Through this Program, the Port hopes to achieve the following goals.
- Provide employment opportunities to economically disadvantaged and/or at-risk San Francisco youth ages 16 through 24 (the Program “Participants”);
- Provide job readiness training and job skills for Program Participants;
- Provide environmentally-sound maintenance and clean up services at the parks and public spaces operated by the Port;
- Introduce and/or promote environmental awareness and issues to the Participants.
Following the evaluation process described in this RFP, the Port intends to recommend the award of two (2) contracts each with a term of four (4) years to two (2) separate contractors. Each contract may have a total not-to-exceed amount of Five Hundred Thirty Thousand dollars ($530,000)
Through this RFP, the Port intends to evaluate and select contractors capable of providing the necessary services to help the Port achieve the Program goals as specified in in this RFP. The Port will review the qualifications and experience of all Respondents and other information it deems relevant.
A pre-submittal conference will be held on September 14, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. via the Zoom videoconference platform.
Submittals in response to this event are due on October 7, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. Late submittals will not be accepted.
