The Embarcadero Historic District is comprised of over 20 piers and facilities that connect San Francisco to Bay Area communities and beyond. These piers have played critical roles in fishing, cargo and shipping industries, wartime efforts, transportation and more.
The Embarcadero Piers Program seeks to develop these historic locations into vibrant destinations, public amenities such as parks and community space, commercial opportunities and maritime opportunities and services.
