James R. Herman International Cruise Terminal

Phase I Construction Completion ─ February 26, 2013

San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee presided over a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 26, 2013 to mark the completion of the first phase of the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal at Pier 27.
The James R. Herman Cruise Terminal is named in honor of James R. Herman, former San Francisco Port Commissioner for sixteen years and President of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union. The James R. Herman cruise terminal is designed to meet modern ship and operational requirements of the cruise industry and provide an appropriate, welcoming gateway to the City.
