Port Commission

The Port Commission is responsible for the seven and one-half miles of waterfront adjacent to San Francisco Bay, which the Port develops, markets, leases, administers, manages and maintains. The Port’s operating portfolio is composed of over 550 ground, commercial, retail, office, industrial and maritime industrial leases, including many internationally recognized landmarks such as Fisherman’s Wharf, PIER 39, the Ferry Building, and the San Francisco Giants ballpark. The Port Commission is comprised of a five-member board, each of whom is appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City's Board of Supervisors. Each commissioner is appointed to a four-year term.

Unless otherwise calendared, regular meetings of the Port Commission are on the second Tuesday of every month, plus the fourth Tuesday in February and April. The meetings commence at 2:00 pm for closed session and 3:15 pm for open session, unless otherwise noticed.

Meetings will be held in person at the Port Commission Hearing Room in the Ferry Building, Second Floor. Members of the public may attend the meeting to observe and provide public comment at the physical meeting location or remotely. Instructions for providing remote public comment are provided on each meeting agenda.

Full Commission meetings are replayed on San Francisco cable via SFGovTV2 and streamed online. SFGovTV include a recording of each meeting, an agenda with links to the specific portions of the meeting, a file containing closed captions from the meeting and an MP3 recording of the meeting.
