Meghan Wallace is the Interim Deputy Director of Finance and Administration, responsible for managing the finance and administrative functions of the Port including human resources, information technology, business services, procurement, accounting, finance, and risk management. Meghan strives to strategically align resources with the Port’s goals and priorities and improve systems and processes to support the Port’s maritime and real estate business operations. 

Prior to being named Interim Deputy Director, Meghan was the Port’s Economic Recovery Manager. In that role she worked with Port staff, leadership, and community partners to develop and implement strategies that address the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our historic waterfront and grow Port business lines for long term financial stability.  

Prior to joining the Port, Meghan worked for the City and County of San Francisco for 11 years, including eight years at the Port of San Francisco in various budget, finance, and procurement roles and three years in the Mayor’s Office of Public Policy and Finance. For three years, from 2019 to 2022, Meghan served as the Chief Financial Officer for the San Francisco Unified School District.

Meghan holds a Master of Public Policy from the Maryland School of Public Policy in College Park, Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She lives with her family in San Francisco and loves spending time on the waterfront, particularly exploring the food, sights, and sounds in the Ferry Building and running through the public parks in Mission Bay and the Southern Waterfront.
